Quick answers to common questions about Happy Levels
A level is a visual representation of something you want to track in your life. It starts at 100% and gradually depletes over time based on your settings. Your job is to "refill" it by completing the activity before it empties.
Think of it like a battery—you want to keep it charged by staying consistent with your habits.
Tap the + button on the dashboard, give your level a name and emoji, choose the type (Standard, Mood, Expense, etc.), and set how many days it takes to deplete. That's it!
You can also pick from suggested levels if you need inspiration.
Happy Levels offers 6 specialized types:
Simply tap on the level's progress bar on your dashboard. The level will refill to 100%, and you can optionally add a journal entry with notes, photos, or voice recordings.
Nothing catastrophic! The level just stays at 0% until you refill it. However, if you had an active streak, it will break. The level will also appear more prominently on your dashboard to remind you to take action.
A streak begins when you refill a level and counts the consecutive days you keep it above 0%. Keep refilling before it depletes to maintain your streak. The longer your streak, the more coins you earn!
There's a small grace period after depletion—if you refill shortly after, you might save your streak.
Yes! Right after refilling, you'll see an "Undo" option. You can also go to the level's journal history and delete the most recent entry to revert the refill.
Yes! Happy Levels uses iCloud to sync your levels, journal entries, and settings across all your Apple devices. Just make sure you're signed into the same iCloud account and have iCloud enabled for the app.
Currently, data export is not available directly in the app. However, all your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, which you own and control. We're considering adding export features in future updates.
We collect minimal analytics (via Firebase) to understand how the app is used and to fix bugs. This includes anonymous usage patterns—we never collect personal data, journal contents, or financial information. Your levels and journal entries stay in your iCloud account.
